Finding Us

Divine Dental Care is at 59 Wicklow Avenue, Croydon VIC 3136. There is one practice and one location. Everything happens in this building, including our imaging and our crown milling, so you are not sent elsewhere partway through treatment.

Driving. There is free parking on site, so you do not need to find a space on the street or feed a meter while you are in the chair. Maroondah Highway runs straight through Croydon and is the simplest approach from Ringwood to the west or Lilydale to the east. From Croydon South and Bayswater, Dorset Road brings you almost to the door.

By train. We are a short walk from Croydon Station, which is on the Lilydale line. Coming outbound the order is Ringwood, then Ringwood East, then Croydon, so Ringwood East is one stop away and Mooroolbark is one stop the other way. Worth knowing if you are coming from Heathmont or Bayswater: those are on the Belgrave line, and the two lines only meet at Ringwood, so that trip needs a change. Many patients from those two suburbs find driving simpler.

Access. There is step-free entry from the car park, treatment rooms that accommodate a wheelchair, and an accessible bathroom. If you need extra time, a quieter appointment at the start or end of the day, or help getting from the car, tell us when you book and we will arrange it rather than working it out on the day.

If You Are in Pain Today

Call (03) 9725 8040 and describe what has happened. Our team will give you advice for managing it in the meantime and find you the earliest appointment we have. We hold time aside for urgent problems, and we will tell you honestly on the phone how soon we can see you. Our emergency dentist page covers what to do first for a knocked-out tooth, a broken tooth or an abscess.

For anything involving difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding or significant facial trauma, call 000 or go to your nearest hospital emergency department rather than waiting for a dental appointment.

If you would rather read up before you ring, the frequently asked questions cover most of what reception gets asked, about the practice explains how a group of ten dentists works day to day, and any current offers are listed on monthly specials.

Booking a First Appointment

You can book online at any hour, or call during opening hours if you would rather talk it through. Ten dentists work here and they do not all do the same work, so if you are coming in about something specific it is worth saying so when you book. You can also read about each of them and ask for the one you prefer.

Bring your health fund card, your Medicare card, and a list of any medications you take. If you have had recent x-rays or treatment elsewhere, we can request those records rather than repeating anything unnecessarily. A first visit is usually an examination and a conversation, and if treatment is needed you will get a written plan with costs before anything is booked.

If it has been years since your last visit, say so when you book. It changes how we plan the appointment, and it is more common than most people assume.

Paying on the Day

We are a preferred provider at the top tier with BUPA, Medibank, HCF and NIB, and we have HICAPS at the practice, so your rebate is claimed on the spot and you pay only the difference rather than claiming back later. Bring your fund card to the appointment. Our health fund page lists which funds we hold that status with.

Children who qualify for the Medicare Child Dental Benefits Schedule are bulk billed, with no gap and no claim to submit. See our CDBS page. Veterans holding a DVA card are covered separately again, and we claim directly with DVA, which is set out on our DVA dentist page.
